Like many in his field, the Catalan electronic musician John Talabot tends to release songs in small bursts, in the form of singles and EPs. He only has two full-lengths to his name, 2012's ƒIN and 2017's The Night Land, released under the name Talaboman. Since then, a strange silence has indeed set in, with no new releases besides a pair of Talaboman singles in 2023. This fall, he'll make his grand return, and he's doing it in longform.Talabot is launching his new project OR with Music For Empty Stadiums, a new album coming next month. It will be the 100th release on AD 93. The OR moniker is simply his initials; John Talabot is a stage name for Oriol Riverola. Music For Empty Stadiums is his attempt to develop "the most euphoric possible variant of ambient," a concept that makes perfect sense when you hear the pulsing, flickering, shapeless lead single "Nokik Messiah." Do that below.TRACKLIST:01 "The Cortisol Arena"02 "Barroque"03 "Terrace Continuum"04 "Ginger & Miyake"05 "Where’s The Melody?"06 "Ombra de Ninja (Balearika Mix)"07 "Preset Symphony"08 "Supper Bowl"09 "=^.^= (ANTHEM4U)"10 "Nokik Messiah"11 "Reflex Amnesia"12 "Maracaná"13 "Fractal Love Odyssey"14 "CROWDPLEASER"15 "Strings of Death (Dtunin’ version)"16 "Trancient"17 "Serotonin Bliss Blues"Music For Empty Stadiums is out 10/30 on AD 93.
