John Lennon’s First Grandchild Has Been Born

John Lennon’s first grandchild has been born. Sean Ono Lennon, the only child of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and his partner, musician/model Charlotte Kemp Muhl, have announced the birth of their son, Aurelius. “Okay so…Charlotte and I would like to announce that we have indeed created a Human Bean!” Sean announced in a post to social media. “His name is, Aurelius! Thank you!” W”e made a human! Am convinced DNA is agentic alien quaternary code,” added Kemp Muhl in her own social media post. “The sleep deprivation only adds to the surrealism…Burping technique tips welcome. Meconium is crazy.” Lennon and Kemp Muhl have been together since 2007 after meeting at Coachella, and have also collaborated musically as the duo The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger. Beyond serving as a steward of his late father’s legacy, curating and producing numerous posthumous projects, Lennon has remained active with his own music. He released his third solo album, Asterisms, in 2024, and recently reunited with Les Claypool for a new album from The Claypool Lennon Delirium, The Great Parrot-Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathy. Kemp Muhl, meanwhile, played bass for St. Vincent during her recent “All Born Screaming” tour.
