Joe’s next victim and big death sealed as Emmerdale spoilers confirm what happens next

| Deputy Soaps Editor Published September 23, 2026 7:50pm Updated September 23, 2026 7:50pm Joe Tate strikes again – at someone else (Picture: ITV / Metro) Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) remains on the warpath in Emmerdale, vowing revenge on all those he holds responsible for Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) death. Dawn met a tragic end earlier this month when Jimmy King (Nick Miles) was run off the road – by Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) – and crashed his car through the marquee where she was set to wed Joe. Joe was left heartbroken when Dawn subsequently died in hospital just hours after welcoming their baby into the world. On the day of her funeral, he had Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) buried alive in a bid to teach Caleb (William Ash) – who he blames for Dawn’s passing – a lesson. He also pointed the finger at Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and screamed in the face of Vinny, who admitted to his role in the death of the Home Farm icon’s fiancé. Elsewhere, Vinny’s big secret was exposed to the village, much to the devastation of Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches), Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and Mandy (Lisa Riley). Vinny subsequently collapsed, leaving his fate up in the air. If you’re eager to know what’s next then here’s everything we know so far about tomorrow’s episode. What happens next in Emmerdale? Spoilers for Thursday, September 24 episode Overwhelmed and injured by Billy, Vinny collapsed in the kitchen of mum Mandy’s home. The question is: will he be okay? That remains to be seen. Elsewhere, Lewis is stressed out as he contemplates what a future with Vinny would look like in the wake of his partner’s involvement in the crash. Kev (Chris Coghill) is on hand to comfort him. The episode in question proves to be a difficult one for Kev, who is not only trying to do the right thing for Lewis but also for Nicola. Realising how upset Nicola is, he fears what she’ll do when she inevitably uncovers that he knew about Vinny’s role in the accident and withheld it from her. Kev worries about Nicola (Picture: ITV) And just what does Joe have up his sleeve next? He vowed revenge in dramatic scenes before breaking down in the arms of the one person he trusts more than anybody else in the world Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough). Can Graham help Joe to realise that it’s important he grieve the loss of Dawn instead of focusing on revenge?
