Joe Sugg 'seriously distressed' after being stalked by man for four years

The YouTuber - who shares a six-month-old son with partner Dianne Buswell - was plagued with emails, social media comments and letters from US-born Robert Beckman, 31, in a stalking campaign that began in 2022.Beckman flew from his home in Michigan to the UK to stalk Sugg and sent messages from multiple different locations, including Gatwick Airport. The stalking left Sugg - who appeared on Strictly in 2018 - suffering “serious alarm and distress” and affected his daily life, Brighton Crown Court heard.On Wednesday, he pleaded guilty to pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to stalking.
