Joe Alt, Derwin James remain out of practice for Chargers

Published October 15, 2026 06:25 PM The Chargers remained without a few starters at Thursday’s practice. Right tackle Joe Alt (neck), left guard Kayode Awosika, cornerback Donte Jackson (hamstring), and safety Derwin James (hamstring) were all out of practice for the second time this week. All four players missed Week 5 and the status quo with their participation suggests they’re on track to miss another game when the Chargers face the Chiefs this Sunday. Linebacker Bud Dupree (neck, rest) and cornerback Rodney Shelley (hamstring) were out after being limited on Wednesday. Defensive lineman Jamaree Caldwell (knee), defensive lineman Justin Eboige (shoulder), linebacker Daiyan Henley (shoulder), wide receiver Quentin Johnston (chest), wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith (hamstring), wide receiver Ladd McConkey (foot), defensive back Elijah Molden (hamstring), wide receiver Brenen Thompson (quad), defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson (hamstring), and safety Kendall Williamson (ankle) were all limited participants. Tight end Charlie Kolar (forearm), linebacker Khalil Mack (rest), and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (rib) were full participants.
