Jodie Prenger coyly confirms romance is coming for Coronation Street’s Glenda

Sister to George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), Glenda is a vibrant and fun-loving barmaid at the Rovers Return. Formerly a singer on a cruise ship, Glenda always jumps at the chance to show off her musical talents in front of the Weatherfield residents, regardless of whether they actually enjoy it or not. When it comes to romance, Glenda has never really had a stable relationship since she moved to the cobbles. A couple of years ago, there was Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell), but things fizzled out quite quickly. Star Jodie Prenger recently dropped a clue that indicates Glenda will meet another love interest soon, but will her journey with the character be dramatic, or is happiness waiting? Speaking to Metro at the CureUsher ball, an event dedicated to raising awareness of Usher Syndrome, Jodie told us: ‘Oh… [Dramatic faces] It’s a spoiler and I’m so scared I’m going to get in trouble, but there’s something coming. I do miss it a little bit, I’m not going to lie, but I get to tickle myself every now and then in Weatherfield.
