Jodie more dangerous than ever in Coronation Street as she loads gun

No-one knows what she’ll do next (Picture: ITV) Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) has done it again in Coronation Street. The character has successfully managed to talk her way out of trouble. Introduced at the start of the year, Jodie takes great pleasure in making other people’s lives a misery. During her time in Weatherfield so far, she’s managed to orchestrate situations that have caused problems for residents including Bernie Winter (Jane Halzegrove), Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard). Yesterday, Jodie left everyone stunned when she revealed that she’s told the police about assaulting Sarah. She was then placed in the spotlight for questioning when a curious Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) asked Jodie about the trinket box and the gun she was keeping hold of. Jodie covered and claimed that the weapon was fake, but Lily later told David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) about Shona Platt’s (Julia Goulding) sister keeping a gun in the house. After searching the house high and low, David and Shona confronted Jodie in tonight’s episode, determined to get answers about the gun and tinket box. She headed upstairs and then returned with a gun in her hand, but Jodie then confirmed seconds later that it was a toy one. The unhinged character managed to convince Shona that she keeps the toy weapon for protection and apologised for scaring Lily. Having got away with something yet again, Jodie spent the evening with the Platts. Once they had headed upstairs to bed, Jodie snuck into the kitchen and found the real gun, which was being kept on top of the kitchen cupboards. Jodie loaded the gun, hid it under her jumper, and then left. Is she about to use it on someone? If so, who?! Jodie’s still got the gun (Picture: ITV) Describing the dynamic between the two sisters as Shona remains oblivious to Jodie’s true self, star Julia Goulding recently told us: ‘It’s challenging because Shona doesn’t see most of it, as her mind is preoccupied elsewhere. ‘We’ve been told that Jodie is befriending the youngsters, like Lily and Harry, because she has the mind of a child herself. But in terms of playing the scenes, my back is almost always turned, so I don’t have to react to what she is doing or how she is reacting.
