Former jockey and ITV presenter Leonna Mayor has revealed she is raising her young child alone following her split from disgraced former Scotland rugby captain Stuart Hogg.Mayor, once dubbed the 'world's sexiest jockey', confirmed in January that her relationship with the 34-year-old rugby star had ended, just 11 months after the birth of their son, Teddy. She gave birth to their child only weeks after the former Glasgow Warriors and Exeter Chiefs player was spared jail after pleading guilty to domestic abuse of his estranged wife Gillian.Confirming in the Instagram post that she was 'no longer with Stuart', the 35-year-old presenter implied that Hogg did not accompany her for the birth, stating: 'We'll just say it's just me and Teddy.'Hogg has not been seen on Mayor's Instagram since March 2025.Mayor has now confirmed that she is raising Teddy entirely by herself after sitting down for a lengthy interview with Racing Post at the weekend.'It's not what I wanted, and it's not a choice I made, but it's what happened,' she told the newspaper. 'I didn't want to be a single parent and it's not what I want for my son. I want a happy family unit but that's not what it was and I didn't think I was going to have that. I'm also lucky because my mum, my stepdad and Teddy's grandparents on both sides are all unbelievable.'Of course I wish there was someone doing this with me but there isn't and I still massively appreciate that I've got something some people never have.'The couple went public with their romance in November 2023, amid controversy over the timing of their relationship, which emerged just days after Hogg welcomed his fourth child with then-wife Gillian. Mayor faced a wave of criticism on social media following the announcement, which came just months before Hogg was charged by police.Hogg admitted a five-year course of domestic abuse against his now ex-wife Gillian at Selkirk Sheriff Court in November 2024 but was spared jail. He was instead issued with a Community Payback Order, including one year's supervision in January 2025.The full-back also admitted shouting and swearing and acting in an abusive manner towards her, as well as repeatedly tracking her movements and sending messages of an alarming and distressing nature.Reflecting on the challenging year of backlash and criticism, Mayor admitted she 'probably handled it badly' but ultimately learned a lot of mental resilience.'I responded to some people on social media when I perhaps shouldn't. Stuart and other people said I should ignore it but we all want to defend people we love, whether they're in the right or in the wrong. It's a natural thing to do,' she told Racing Post.'I did try to stay out of it, which is a ridiculous thing to say because I was in it, but I was also thinking about myself. I had a media career and I had an image. I looked like I was defending somebody who was in the wrong.'Mayor went on to disclose that friends and loved ones warned her to be careful for her career in the TV industry.
