Published November 2, 2026 11:32 AM It’s gotten ugly for the Chargers, who fell to 0-7 with Sunday’s loss to the cross-town Rams. Despite coming off their bye, the Chargers could not get much going offensively under beleaguered coordinator Mike McDaniel. Justin Herbert threw two more interceptions, giving him a league-high 10 through seven games. He was also strip-sacked, which was nearly picked up for a scoop-and-score.Having kicked three field goals on Sunday, the Chargers haven’t scored a touchdown since late in the third quarter of their Week 5 loss to the Broncos.“Yeah, aware of that and keep working, keep studying,” head coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters in his postgame press conference. “It’s not a familiar position for any of the guys in our locker room, so we’re the only ones who can change it. We are highly motivated and dedicated to do that.”Asked if he’s worried about Herbert’s turnovers, Harbaugh said, “Yeah, we’re aware of what the issues are, and we’re the only ones who can fix them.” McDaniel will continue to call plays, Harbaugh said. Though pressed on why he’s confident this group can turn it around, Harbaugh did not provide much of a concrete answer.“First of all, it’s a team effort, and we’re going to look at the film,” Harbaugh said. “We’re going to address our issues, where we can get better, and just keep working. That’s highly motivated and dedicated to getting this right.“We’re the only ones that have the opportunity to change it, to fix it. And that’s what we’re going to do, go back to work. I have not been in this position that many times either, here as a coach. But I know we have to be dedicated ourselves to getting this turned. That’s where we’re at.”The Chargers will be at home to play the Texans in Week 9.
