Jets sign K Jason Sanders to their practice squad

The Jets released Jason Sanders when they claimed Blake Grupe off of waivers on Monday, but the kicker was back in the organization a short time later. Sanders, who missed two kicks in the team’s final preseason game, has re-signed to the team’s practice squad. Head coach Aaron Glenn said at a press conference that the team will continue to evaluate who will handle the kicking duties in Week 1. The Jets added 15 other players to their practice squad. All of them were with the Jets this offseason other than linebacker Troy Reeder, who spent the summer with the Lions. CB Mory Bamba, WR Cam Camper, CB Jordan Clark, LB Paschal Ekeji, OL Marquis Hayes, DL Jack Heflin, RB Al-Jay Henderson, LB Jaden Keller, LB Nate Lynn, WR Malik McClain, OL Xavier Newman, DL Payton Page, WR Jamaal Pritchett, and CB Sam Womack are also part of the practice squad.
