JetBlue Cancels Massive 12 Routes From New York-JFK: See Full List Now

He has visited OEM facilities as far and wide as Bristol, Toulouse, and Seattle, and recently enjoyed the milestone of flying his 150th sector as a passenger. Based in Norfolk, UK. This year has been an interesting one for JetBlue Airways, with the New York-based hybrid carrier having looked to fill the capacity gaps left by the demise of Spirit Airlines, particularly in South Florida. This has seen it grow a lot at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), but not without casualties elsewhere. Most notably, it cut 12 routes from John F. Kennedy International Airport between January and October 2026. According to historical scheduling data from Cirium, an aviation analytics company, six of these routes were domestic, while another six served cities that were located outside of the US. On a wider level, in certain months, this has resulted in New York-JFK being overtaken by Fort Lauderdale as JetBlue's top airport. This corridor's final five flights operated in January 2026. The remaining cuts were more recent, with the next route to be cut from JFK to West Palm Beach, ending in August. Earlier in the year, this route was served up to six times a day. Loading map… Drag to explore This cut was followed by two more Florida airports, namely Daytona Beach and Vero Beach in September. These routes had seen lower frequencies, with daily flights being typical. Most recently, service to Chicago O'Hare and Nashville ended in October. JetBlue has also had to make staffing cuts in the wider New York area at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA). In June, a spokesperson explained the carrier's adjustments in a statement obtained by FOX Business. "We are adjusting the operational footprint needed to support our flying going forward. Crewmembers will be able to bid or transfer into other bases. No crewmembers will lose their jobs due to these closures" International Cuts Credit: Wirestock Creators | Shutterstock As far as JetBlue's six international route cuts from JFK in 2026 are concerned, the bulk of these corridors were axed earlier in the year than when the aforementioned domestic destinations were shelved. Bonaire in the Caribbean was the first to go, with just one flight operating in January, followed by Tulum Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport (TQO) in Mexico. Here, flights ceased in March. May saw the biggest cuts, with three of JetBlue's six international routes from JFK ending that month. The destinations in question were Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City, La Aurora Airport (GUA) in Guatemala City, and Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport (SAP) in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Bird International Airport (ANU) on the Caribbean island of Antigua lasted a little longer, peaking in daily frequency during the summer months of July and August. These services ended in September, with the St. Vincent Times reporting that aircraft redeployment to Fort Lauderdale was a driving factor. The airline has close ties to the city, and the 'Big Apple' is the home of its corporate headquarters. However, shifting capacity has seen JFK overtaken by Fort Lauderdale as the airline's number one airport in certain months. This is particularly evident as we head into the depths of the winter. From January to last month, JFK comfortably outranked Fort Lauderdale in terms of JetBlue flights and seats. This month, however, the tables have turned: Fort Lauderdale had 3,935 JetBlue departures in November, compared with 3,804 from JFK. This narrow gap is set to remain consistent over the coming months, with JFK not overtaking FLL again until May. FLL will regain the top spot in September.
