The pair had dated for a year before calling it quits. Jesy ended her relationship with musician Zion Foster after the pair welcomed their twin girls, Ocean and Story, who were born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1. The former couple are devoted co-parents, with Zion saying he would try and support Jesy in every way he could. In a statement he said: “The end of a relationship does not mean the end of fatherhood. “Jesy made the decision to end our relationship and, while I respect that, it does not change the fact that I remain committed to my daughters in every way I possibly can.” Jesy and Zion documented their parenting journey in her hugely successful Prime Video series, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix. The show included the moment they learned about their daughters’ diagnosis. Jesy went on to campaign tirelessly in their name, which was followed in the second series of the show. She celebrated a huge victory last month after she persuaded the government to roll out SMA testing for all babies born in England. The policy is expected to start in October this year. Her campaigning also meant the policy was changed in Ireland earlier this year. Jesy said after the government confirmed the change in England last month: “Today is a day of hope. “This is a victory for every family affected by SMA, whilst it can’t change the future of our children, I know it marks the beginning of a brighter future for future SMA families. “It’s an overwhelming feeling.”
