The musician and the Denmark-born basketballer were first linked in 2021, but it remains unclear how they first crossed paths. Some reports claim they matched on celebrity dating app Raya. It wasn’t until 2023 that the couple went public with their romance, with Jessie having nothing but glowing praise for him, having met Chanan just weeks after she suffered a miscarriage. Describing him as a ‘beam of light’ and ‘the calm to [her] crazy’, Jessie and Chanan welcomed baby boy Sky in May 2023. Alas, their relationship has now come to an end, with the Price Tag singer, 38, sharing an Instagram reel of her with Chanan and Sky as Here Comes The Sun plays in the background. She wrote: ‘Chanan and I decided to end our romantic relationship some time ago, it has been a sad and difficult situation, but we have been focused on navigating the change privately and positively for a healthy and happy co parenting environment for our son, and ourselves. The songwriter, who once declared her life with Chanan a ‘whirlwind love’, was previously in a long-term relationship with Hollywood actor Channing Tatum. During that period, her partner and son visited her in hospital, and Jessie wrote online that she was ‘grateful’ for her family’s support. Jessie also underwent further cancer treatment last August, which forced her to rearrange and cancel scheduled tour dates. Then, two months ago, Jessie, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, confirmed that she was cancer-free. Upon receiving her MRI result, she ‘sobbed for hours’ then ‘exhaled for the first time in a year’.
