Jeremy Corbyn is set to double his money on his North London home after agreeing £700,000 sale

Socialist former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is likely to nearly double his money on his North London home after agreeing terms with a buyer. The 77-year-old’s ‘charming’ three-bedroom terraced home has been on the market most recently for £700,000 but is now sold subject to contract.The actual agreed price being paid by the prospective buyer is not yet known, however Mr Corbyn paid £363,000 for the property in 2007.The veteran Islington North MP and founder of Left-wing Your Party, who was first elected to parliament in 1983, previously tried to sell the property for £1m three years ago.It was initially relisted for £800,000 in March, but the price was steadily reduced, first to £780,000 in April, then £750,000 in May, before being dropped to £700,000. During his time as Labour leader between 2015 and 2020, the 77-year-old was frequently seen walking out of the address to face questions from TV cameras and members of the public. People from all over the world make their home here, so there’s a lovely atmosphere. It’s a great place.
