He said with no back-up key, he had to make alternative arrangements to get back home. He told readers: “You have to get a lift home with someone else and summon a man, which is fine if you’re me because he arrived quickly and brought the car to my house, saying he’d reprogrammed its brain and I now had to actually swipe the card on the door handle to gain entry.” He said it took 14 attempts with the card to gain entry to the electric car but when he finally got in he encountered another error message on the infotainment panel.
