Published October 29, 2026 10:22 AM Defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons signed a three-year contract extension with the Titans this offseason, but that hasn’t stopped his name from popping up on lists of candidates to be traded ahead of the November 10 trade deadline. With the Titans off to a 1-6 start and all signs pointing to another dismal finish in the standings, some have wondered if they will deal Simmons in an effort to stock up on assets that could start pushing things in a better direction. That topic was brought up to Simmons on Wednesday and he said he has not heard anything at this point that leads him to believe he will be on the move. “Each and every day I wake up, my goal is to be where my feet are at,” Simmons said, via the team’s website. “I’m never looking ahead, just being in the moment each and every day. I don’t worry about the things that I can’t control. Those types of things are also a distraction — that’s a lot of fans and outside media. I haven’t heard anything from my agent, I haven’t heard anything from this organization. As far as I know, I am going to be here.”It only takes a couple of phone calls for that to change and the prospect of adding a player like Simmons to the defensive front could lead a contender to make the Titans an offer they won’t refuse before the curtain drops on this year’s trade window.
