The new variant is the most affordable automatic version of the Compass in India, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the second week of November 2026.The Compass Sport 9AT is powered by the familiar 2.0-litre MultiJet II turbo-diesel engine, which produces 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox, with power sent to the front wheels. The addition of the automatic transmission to the entry-level Sport variant gives buyers a more affordable way to choose an automatic Compass.In terms of features, the Compass Sport 9AT gets six airbags, electronic parking brake with Auto Hold, cruise control and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The touchscreen supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include steering-mounted controls and electrically adjustable outside rear-view mirrors.The SUV also retains Jeep's Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) suspension and Dynamic Steering Torque (DST) system. The former is designed to adjust damping characteristics according to road conditions, while the latter assists steering response. Customers can also opt for an accessory pack priced at Rs 29,900. It includes ambient lighting, a dashcam with predictive safety features, a Swoosh decal, all-weather floor mats and mud flaps.The Compass range continues to offer manual and automatic transmission options, along with two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations, depending on the variant. With the Sport 9AT, Jeep India is expanding the Compass range by bringing the automatic gearbox to its entry-level variant.
