Earlier that day relatives reportedly saw Mr Peerapol sitting and sharpening a knife. Later, Winai arrived at the house, followed by Mr Peerapol, who arrived on a motorcycle with a friend. The two men reportedly argued before coming to blows. As Winai turned away, Mr Peerapol allegedly stabbed and slashed him repeatedly with a knife, inflicting a severe wound to his neck.
