Action star Jason Statham and director Guy Ritchie's movie collaborations date back to 1998 with the crime comedy Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, later being followed by Snatch (2001), Revolver (2007), Wrath of Man (2021), Operation Fortune: Ruse du Guerre (2023), and the forthcoming thriller Viva La Madness. Now, for the first time, Ritchie and Statham are bringing their action prowess to Netflix for a revenge-focused action vehicle. Netflix has now officially announced that Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham will re-team for Dogfight, a revenge thriller "with a stylish twist" set in the criminal underworld of London. While Netflix has confirmed Ritchie and Statham's involvement and teased "a cast full of colorful criminals and plenty of thrilling action," plot details for Dogfight are still being kept tightly under wraps. However, the streaming service has revealed that the upcoming film will kick off production in early 2027 in the UK. Dogfight is written and directed by Guy Ritchie, who also serves as a producer alongside Jason Statham, Ivan Atkinson, and John Friedberg. The Netflix thriller is being produced in collaboration with Black Bear, Toff Guy Films, and Punch Palace. Dogfight marks Guy Ritchie's second collaboration with Netflix after his hit crime thriller series The Gentlemen, which serves as a spinoff of Ritchie's 2019 movie of the same name. Ahead of its critically acclaimed sophomore outing's release this September, Netflix officially renewed The Gentlemen for season 3, which is already in production for a speedier turnaround. As they prepare to begin filming on their seventh movie together early next year, Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham already have packed upcoming release slates. In addition to his Statham-starring Viva La Madness, Guy Ritchie's confirmed upcoming movies and TV shows include the film Wife & Dog, which is set to premiere in February 2027, Young Sherlock season 2, The Gentlemen season 3, and MobLand season 3. Meanwhile, Statham has The Beekeeper 2 and Jason Statham Stole My Bike slated for 2027. More to come...
