The Dallas Buyers Club actor, 54, is the focus of a new BBC documentary – Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret – which sees a total of 10 women speak out. ‘He has gotten away with it,’ one of his alleged victims told the BBC of the encounter she said happened ’25 years ago’. The allegations, which all pertain to incidents between 2002 and 2016, are the latest in a string of accusations that have followed Leto, who would have been in his 30s and 40s at the time, for years. One woman claims to have been sexually assaulted in a ‘dingy gross motel’ at 17, with Leto allegedly calling her into the bathroom so they could talk while he showered. ‘I don’t think there was many words exchanged and he opened the shower curtain and started kissing me,” the woman, going by Isabel, claimed tearfully, saying she believed they would be heading out somewhere. The singer has been accused of grooming at least one teenager (Picture: Rick Kern/Getty Images) He then allegedly grabbed her hand and used it to masturbate himself, she stopped and tried to leave, with Leto reportedly checking the corridor before letting her out. Another alleged victim, called Clara in the documentary, claims to have had underage sex with the Tron Ares actor in California when she was 17, with Leto ‘shrugging off’ concerns about the age of consent being 18 in the US state. She claims her age ‘wasn’t a huge concern for him’, and they had sex while her friend waited in another room. This was the first of three or four visits to his house. ‘He told me, “I would like you to call me daddy”. And it was either pretend to be a little girl or “my little girl”,’ Clara alleged. Another woman, going by Alex, claims she was threatened with sexual assault when left alone in a hotel room with him unexpectedly at 19, with Leto believing she was 17. She had been invited to his O2 Arena gig in 2013 as a model, going along to what she thought was going to be an after-party. Alex claims she was taken to his hotel room and asked him for a phone charger or cash so she could go home. He allegedly said no. Leto has been followed by online allegations for years (Picture: Joao Daniel Pereira/ZUMA Press W) She asked to sleep on the chaise longue in the room and the then 41-year-old singer allegedly said she would wake up ‘with a d**k in her ass’ if she did. Alex left the room. Another woman claims she was groomed by Leto when she was 16, with the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman ‘abusing his celebrity status’ and making repeated sexually explicit phone calls to her. Leto allegedly knew she was 16 and asked questions about her virginity and if she had ‘any kinks’. She recalled: ‘He did at least once mention him and I having sex at some point.’ Her number was then supposedly passed to Leto’s friend ‘Christian’, who would reportedly call her and ask her to film porn. She would now ‘not be surprised’ if they were the same people. Two years later, she was asked to sign an NDA to prevent her speaking about Leto; she refused. He also allegedly called her and ‘chuckled’ at the concerns of his lawyer about his relationships. Along with these accusations, four more women claim to have received very sexual calls from Leto while they were young. Two of those women note they were called by other men around the same time, who they also believe could have been Leto. He has not spoken out on the BBC documentary yet (Picture: Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images for Vogue) While at a festival, one woman says the singer made a lewd comment about her chest during an autograph signing and instructed a security guard to bring her backstage. She was 14 at the time and says she looked young, with the singer not actually asking if she wanted to go backstage. Her mother is said to have confronted Leto, but he just repeated the comment, with the woman claiming he ‘just did not care’. The documentary also features two men who worked with Thirty Seconds to Mars, with both saying the staff felt uncomfortable with Leto’s conduct. ‘I think everyone thought the age gap was way too big,’ one said, alleging he would invite teenage girls to his dressing room or to his house. The BBC claims to have seen pictures and messages that support the women’s stories, as well as accounts corroborated by friends and family. Leto has been a prominent actor since the 1990s, most recently appearing as Skeletor in Masters of the Universe. He won the 2014 Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for Dallas Buyers Club and took on supporting roles in Fight Club, Blade Runner 2049, and Suicide Squad.
