However, after struggling in front of goal in the opening weeks of the campaign they are now 17th and have just two points on the board. Former Spurs midfielder Redknapp hit out at the club on Sky Sports after the draw with the Toffees. He labelled Roberto De Zerbi‘s side as “absolutely diabolical” during his damning assessment. The former Tottenham and Liverpool midfielder said: “After spending £300million, I didn’t think there would be a problem scoring goals. “I thought that they might struggle to win games, a few teething problems, but I thought with the players they’ve got in midfield… surely they have goals in this team. “To not score in the Premier League in six hours of football is absolutely diabolical, whatever way you look at it. How can you not score in six hours of football? “They have not got the right balance in the team. There are so many problems to solve in a game just to score a goal.” Spurs were very active in the transfer window as they spent £100mi on Sandro Tonali, £85m on Mateus Fernandes and £85m on Savio.
