James Hetfield Says Turnstile Turned Down Touring with Metallica

Metallica reached out to Turnstile about touring together, but were turned down. “We wanted to get them on tour, and they said, ‘No. They’re doing good on their own already,'” Metallica’s James Hetfield said during a recent episode of his SiriusXM radio show Riff Life. “We’ve hung out with them a bit. Super cool guys, super fun. They’ve got a gal in the band now, which is fun,” Hetfield added. Hetfield didn’t elaborate on when the overture to Turnstile was made. Metallica are slated to embark on a North American stadium tour in 2027 with support from Limp Bizkit.
