The adaptations of James Bond span over seven decades of television, radio, and film, evolving from thrillers into some of the highest-grossing spy blockbusters in history. Ian Fleming created the character before Sean Connery became the first face of James Bond and entered the franchise in 1962 with the movie Dr. No. There have been over 25 movies with six different actors portraying 007 and a core 25-film series telling the extraordinary tales of the British secret agent. The hunt for the next 007 has been amping up, with final screen tests taking place in London and the finalists being narrowed down to four. However, some appear to be the fan-favorite pick for the Amazon MGM Studios movie as the general public weigh in, as well as fellow actors picking their favorites. Jack Lowden, known for his role on Apple TV's Slow Horses, responded to his co-star Gary Oldman's comments in an interview with British GQ, as well as finally speaking up about the rumors surrounding his role in Amazon MGM Studios' adaptation: "On this… It’s all very flattering. It’s nice to be mentioned – for any role – and I’m just not really going to add to the noise. It’s very nice, and Gary’s a sweetheart – it’s particularly lovely, coming from someone like him. But I don’t really listen to it. As a young male actor, generally, the minute you’re not playing a zany artist type, the minute you’re in a suit, people fling it at you." More to come...
