Jaipur CA abducted at gunpoint in his own Mercedes, kidnappers flee after car crash

A Chartered Accountant (CA) was abducted at gunpoint in a posh area of Jaipur after finishing his morning walk, with two miscreants forcing him into his own Mercedes and driving towards Amer. The dramatic episode ended when the luxury car crashed into a motorcycle, plunged into a roadside drain and overturned, prompting the abductors to flee.The victim, identified as Rajiv Gupta, had just returned to his car after his morning walk near a park on Thursday when the two men approached him. One allegedly threatened him with what appeared to be a fake pistol, while the other held a knife against his stomach.The two then forced Gupta into the Mercedes. One of them took the driver's seat and sped towards Amer, while Gupta remained inside the vehicle.CA TRIES TO ESCAPE FROM MOVING MERCEDESGupta attempted to escape by jumping out of the moving car, but was unsuccessful. As the Mercedes continued towards Amer, it collided with an oncoming motorcycle. The impact caused the car to lose control. It plunged into a roadside drain and overturned, leaving the vehicle wrecked.The crash appears to have panicked the two abductors, who fled the spot, leaving Gupta behind.PANIC BUTTON ALERTS FAMILY According to the police, the Mercedes' panic button was activated after the impact, sending an emergency alert to Gupta's family. The family then informed the authorities.Police from Amer station reached the spot and took the wrecked Mercedes into custody. They also recovered the alleged fake pistol and knife from inside the vehicle.The motive behind the alleged abduction remains unclear.
