The cash investment in the facilities comes after American financier Christopher Garcia, CEO of US based Wilshire Quinn Capital, purchased the club in February 2025. Originally opened by Sir Alex Ferguson back in 1995, Flixton’s Valley Road ground had been reduced to hosting Sunday League games before being slapped with a £500,000 price tag on Rightmove in January 2025. While weighing up his next options, Sancho promised he’d be in the stands to watch Flixton play next Tuesday, just a 10 minute drive away from Carrington. The London-born forward has drawn interest from Qatari club Al Rayyan and has been previously targeted by Roma in the Serie A.
