The Daily Mail has claimed while Man City would be open to a compromise on a deal there is concern from Everton. The Toffees have been questioning Grealish’s professionalism before pushing ahead with a transfer. Before Grealish’s injury, he had made 20 appearances in the Premier League for the Toffees. He had scored two goals and assisted six more as the club challenged for a spot in Europe. After he was ruled out, Everton slowly fell away in the race and ended up finishing 13th. City boss Enzo Maresca left the door ajar for Grealish to return to the squad last month. The Italian had left Grealish out of the club’s pre-season tour squad as he continued to recover from his foot injury. Maresca said: “At the moment, he is here. He is a Manchester City player.
