Jack Grealish being monitored by Atletico Madrid as two Premier League clubs consider transfer move for Man City outcast

ATLETICO MADRID are considering a surprise move for Man City outcast Jack Grealish. SunSport understands the £100million winger has admirers at the Wanda Metropolitano over his work-rate on and off the ball. But there are some hurdles in getting a deal done considering Atletico are already well stocked in attacking positions. Sign up for the Football newsletter Thank you! Simeone has already brought in Lee Kang-In from PSG and has options like Alex Baena, Thiago Almada and Ademola Lookman on the wing. And Grealish would likely have to accept a rotation role if he did secure a move to the Spanish capital. The former Aston Villa man hasn’t played since January after picking up a foot injury on loan at Everton. He has returned to training after recovering from the issue but missed out on Man City’s pre-season tour of Hong Kong and Seoul. Grealish has since started working with RCD Mallorca to keep himself ticking over and drum up interest from other sides. And should a move to Atletico not work out, he could target a return to Everton after a decent loan spell saw him score twice and assist six. A return to boyhood club Aston Villa is also a possibility, five years after he left Villa Park. Grealish played 213 times for Villa and captained the side, who are now flying under Unai Emery after winning the Europa League last season. It’s understood Villa have discussed the idea of bringing Grealish back and believe he could offer much needed depth in the wide areas as they prepare to sell Leon Bailey to Hull. The exits of Morgan Rogers and Youri Tielemans have also meant Villa have lost some of their creativity and Grealish would provide a spark. There are also options for Grealish in Saudi – with Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli and Neom all making enquiries. The three clubs are prepared to make Grealish offers of between £17m and £21m a year. And Grealish also has interest from the MLS, who believe his profile and personality would be a great commercial fit for the league. Comment now
