And insiders claim the news has ruffled estranged wife Jacqueline’s feathers as the 33 year-old EastEnders star watches him enjoy a new lease of life with a stunning model. But at the moment, the actress is feeling “lonely” as she pals say there is “nobody on the horizon”. “He’s out enjoying himself, meeting new people and having fun, while she’s juggling long days at work and being a mum,” reveals a friend of the star. “There’s times she feels like she’s been left on the shelf – she’s single, there’s nobody on the horizon and she’s home alone a lot of the time. Most read in Showbiz “She’s lonely, especially in the evenings when the girls have gone to bed and Dan isn’t there anymore.” “Jac and Dan used to love cosying up together on the sofa for family cinema nights and although they didn’t get much time together alone, she really loved being with Dan after the girls had gone to bed – he made her feel sexy and that’s what made her stay with him so long despite the constant cheating rumours. “She always thought he was the most gorgeous man in the world, and despite their issues, a great dad. It’s very difficult for her to see him dating new women.” But mum-of-two Jac’s primary concern are her and Dan’s daughters, Ella, 11, and Mia, eight, and just how this could affect them. “Her biggest concern isn’t him dating again, but what could happen if this relationship becomes more serious,” the source said. “This woman is based in America and Jacqueline can’t help worrying about what that could mean further down the line. “If Dan starts spending more and more time in the States, or even talks about moving there one day, Jacqueline thinks it would be incredibly difficult for the girls. “They’re settled here, they’ve got school, family and friends, and she wants both parents to be as present as possible in their lives. “And there’s no way in hell the girls would be moving there with him. “She’s not trying to tell Dan who he can and can’t date, but as a mum her priority will always be protecting the girls and making sure they have stability,” the insider shared. Dan and Jac called it quits in March after years of being dogged by cheating scandals and crisis talks. Their marriage has been rocked by multiple cheating allegations against Dan, who admitted in 2020: “I’ve made mistakes.” However, having given their relationship multiple chances, friends claimed Jac had accepted it is doomed after living separate lives for months. “Dan’s enjoying this new chapter in his life and Jacqueline can see that,” our source added. “She’s throwing herself into EastEnders and the children while he’s off travelling and dating, and naturally it’s difficult not to compare their situations. “She’s hoping whatever happens, he just puts the children first.” In May, The Sun revealed that Dan had grown close to Etila after bonding with her over fitness and their mutual support of Arsenal — and had vowed to see her again soon. A source said: “Dan started chatting to Etila on Instagram before his trip to Miami as he saw they both had a passion for fitness. “They met up a few times during his trip and really hit it off, spending a lot of time together hanging out and chatting. He fell in love with the city and is hoping to go out and visit Etila again. “However, Jac’s mates notified her about Dan’s movements having suspected who he was with online. So when he was back in the UK, she asked him about it. “It’s obviously very sensitive as they are co-parenting, but Dan is a single man now. Jac is upset as she still feels there’s a chance her and Dan could rekindle their marriage.” Etila, who used to compete in bikini bodybuilding competitions, broke her engagement with bodybuilder fiance Tyler Manion.
