J-Mac goes back-to-back as rider falls heavily

James McDonald and Lady Shenandoah clinched the Empire Rose Stakes, marking McDonald's consecutive victory and continuing his impressive streak. Unfortunately, the race was overshadowed by a serious fall involving Pondalowie and jockey Harry Coffey, raising concerns about rider safety in the sport. This incident highlights the inherent risks in horse racing and underscores the need for ongoing safety measures and protocols to protect jockeys and horses alike. McDonald's win is notable, but the well-being of those involved remains paramount.
