ITV bosses have left Big Brother fans FUMING after they axed an iconic part of the show for the 2026 series. This comes after ITV2 axed the Late and Live show and replaced it with a visualised podcast series called Big Brother: The Group Chat. Bosses have now made a further cut to the show, deciding to completely axe the Big Brother live feed. Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! The live feeds most recently ran during last year’s show, which aired in April. During Big Brother‘s heyday, the feeds were a huge part of the series, running 24/7 and giving fans an unfiltered viewing of the housemates. Over the years, the live feeds were drastically cut down for the modern reboots. Last year’s live feed ran from around 11:00pm until 2:00am immediately after the main show spin-off, Big Brother: Late and Live. But, unfortunately it seems we’ll be saying goodbye to the live streams and it hasn’t gone down well with fans. One fan wrote on X: “ITV are KILLING Big Brother what are they actually doing!” Most read in TV Another viewer said: “Nail in the coffin, outrageous decision.” “ITV do not understand what Big Brother is supposed to be, they make a different show with the same name,” added a third person. Meanwhile, a fourth fan wrote: “Not going to lie, this is saddening. The live feed is a part of what made Big Brother fun, even if it was just an 1-5 hours it added to the experience of watching it in a big way. Bad decision ITV.” I’m A Celebrity star GK Barry and Big Brother legend Kate Lawler were yesterday announced as the new spin-off presenters. The podcast will air Sunday to Thursday nights straight after Big Brother on ITV2, ITVX and YouTube. Kate, 46, said: “Big Brother has been a huge part of my life since I first stepped through those doors 24 years ago, so to now be returning in this role alongside the fantastic GK Barry feels like an exciting full-circle moment. “I can’t wait to get stuck into all the conversations, twists and talking points with the fans, while bringing a little of my own first-hand experience to the mix.” Loose Women panelist Gk Barry said: “I’ve been a massive Big Brother fan for years, so getting the chance to be part of the show in this way is genuinely a dream come true. “And getting to do it alongside an iconic BB legend like Kate makes it even more exciting. “I honestly can’t wait to start, have loads of fun with it and have a front-row seat to all the drama, surprises and big moments.” Big Brother is returning this autumn on ITV2 and ITVX for its biggest series yet.
