It's not just Jennifer Lawrence! The famous men who now look VERY different after Botox, fillers and face lifts

It was once thought that plastic surgery, cosmetic tweakments or injectables to enhance your appearance were reserved solely for women. But fast forward to 2026 and a growing number of famous men are embracing subtle - or not so subtle - changes to their face.Wayne Rooney, who recently displayed a rather sunburnt look in a new clip from his Stick To United podcast after he jetted back from his holiday in Marrakech with wife Coleen, has hit headlines for his 'glow-up' in the last few months. The former England footballer, 41, has undergone a dramatic transformation thanks to a nose job, slimmed-down physique and Invisalign to transform his smile. He's not the only famous face whose new look has caused a stir. Barry Keoghan's changing appearance has long prompted widespread speculation that he has undergone cosmetic enhancements. When he attended the New York premiere of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man in March, observers remarked on his fuller cheeks and lips. Then earlier this month, Keoghan revealed he had undergone a cosmetic procedure loved by Kim Kardashian and Naomi Watts that costs up to £4,500. He turned to a high-tech skin-tightening treatment called XERF, which is designed to 'lift and firm the face' without surgery or injections.Read on to discover the before and after photographs for the celebrity men who haven't been shy about having a few 'tweakments' over the years - and the stars who fans are convinced have had work done... Wayne RooneyWayne Rooney pictured in 2017, left, and recently in a new clip from his Stick To United podcastWayne Rooney appears to be turning back the clock in recent videos and pictures of himself following his glow-up. The former England footballer has undergone a dramatic transformation in the last few months, including a nose job, a slimmed-down physique and Invisalign to transform his smile. Speaking to the Daily Mail ahead of the premiere of their new Disney+ series, The Real Rooneys, Wayne shared that he 'worked really hard' to lose weight in the gym, and laughed off the idea he'd used jabs. Asked to share the secret to his weight loss, Wayne said: 'Apparently I've seen recently I've been taking this pen thing about me, [Ozempic]. It's a shame, because I'm working really hard to lose weight. Apparently I've been on the pen.'It's thought the former professional footballer, who first had a hair transplant in 2011, has overhauled his diet. He has been following a Macro regime, which involves tracking daily intake of the three 'macronutrients': carbohydrates, fats and proteins. The couple then discussed Wayne's recent nose job, with Coleen adding: 'I thought you were gonna say then, my nose wasn't a cosmetic job, it was a medical job!'Wayne clarified that his wife was the one who encouraged him to go under the knife, after he broke his nose while playing for DC United.Coleen added: 'I tried to get him to do it because of his snoring,' while her husband clarified: 'I couldn't blow one side out of my nose and so I had it fixed.'Wayne first shared the results of his nose job back in August after revealing he’d had an operation to fix it after breaking it twice during his football career. The ex-England captain first revealed he'd had the operation on his new podcast Stick to United, which he presents with football influencer Mark Goldbridge, a week after having surgery. He revealed that he was feeling 'a little bit uncomfortable' following the surgery. He said: 'It's actually really lucky I've got no black eyes, but I've still got two plastic tubes up my nose, which are coming out very soon. I can't wait for them to come out.'So, they've cut here [under my nostrils]... So, that's all stitched – a little bit uncomfortable.'Breaking his nose multiple times will have likely affected Wayne's nasal septum and cartilage, which can lead to issues with breathing. The plastic tubes inserted during the surgery keep the nostrils open during the healing process.Barry Keoghan Barry Keoghan attends the Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals on May 16, 2024, pictured left. Pictured right, Keoghan attends Netflix's Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man New York premiereBarry Keoghan's changing appearance has long prompted widespread speculation that he has undergone cosmetic enhancements. When he attended the New York premiere of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man in March, observers remarked on his fuller cheeks and lips.A cosmetic dermatologist subsequently told the Daily Mail that the increased fullness in his face appeared 'consistent with cheek filler'.'When larger volumes are placed through the mid-face it can create a rounded or slightly "puffy" appearance,' Dr Nora Jaafar explained.Earlier this year, Keoghan showed off a much fuller pout as he posed for photos in front of Tower Bridge in London before Burberry's quintessentially British presentation. 'Barry Keoghan’s appearance has definitely sparked conversation around his lips looking fuller, and whether that is down to treatment, lighting, or natural variation remains to be seen,' said Dr Barbara Kubicka, the founder of ClinicBe. 'What is important here is that it reflects how closely male facial changes are now noticed and discussed. Moments like this mirror what we see in clinic, where men are increasingly open to subtle lip enhancement that prioritises balance rather than obvious volume.' However, the assessment was based on his appearance in photographs rather than confirmation of any treatment, and Keoghan has never publicly confirmed having fillers. Earlier this month, Keoghan revealed he had undergone a cosmetic procedure loved by Kim Kardashian and Naomi Watts that costs up to £4,500, following rife speculation about his changing appearance. The 34-year-old – who is currently filming the four-part Beatles biopic, in which he plays Ringo Starr – has turned to a high-tech skin-tightening treatment called XERF, which is designed to 'lift and firm the face' without surgery or injections. In an Instagram video shared by celebrity skin specialist Nilam Holmes, Keoghan is seen lying on a treatment bed in a clinic wearing a white headband as the practitioner moves a handheld device across his cheeks, around his nose and along his jawline. The Irish actor said on the video: 'I've been hearing a lot about it and Nilam is very excited about it. And she's brilliant at what she does. I really mean that.'He added: 'Every time I come in, it's very relaxing and therapeutic. Nilam looks after my skin. I feel better about myself. I look better. I think it's important to look after yourself inside and outside.'The treatment, which was developed in South Korea and has become increasingly popular among Hollywood stars, uses controlled bursts of radiofrequency energy to heat the deeper layers of the face. This encourages the body to produce collagen, the natural protein that keeps skin firm, with the aim of tightening loose skin, sharpening the jawline and creating a more youthful appearance.Unlike a facelift, the procedure involves no cuts, needles or anaesthetic, and patients can generally return to their normal activities immediately afterwards. The results are designed to develop gradually over several months as new collagen forms beneath the skin.A single full-face session with Ms Holmes costs £2,500, while a course of two treatments, spaced four to eight weeks apart, costs £4,500.Each appointment takes around 90 minutes, with the clinic claiming the results can last between 12 and 18 months. Keoghan has now had two sessions, though it is not known if he paid for the treatment. There is a growing trend for male celebrities to undergo cosmetic procedures, and Keoghan has previously spoken candidly about the devastating effect of criticism over his looks. In March, he revealed that cruel online comments had made him reluctant to leave his home and even left him questioning whether he wanted to continue appearing on screen.'There's a lot of abuse of how I look,' he told SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up. 'It's made me really go inside myself, not want to attend places, not want to go outside.'He added: 'When that starts leaking into your art, it becomes a problem because then you don't even want to be on screen anymore.'The actor, who shares son Brando with former partner Alyson Kierans, also expressed concern that his little boy would one day read the hurtful remarks.Keoghan has previously admitted he struggled with being considered an unconventional leading man before his role in Saltburn transformed his image.'It's nice not just being looked at as the weird-looking guy,' he told GQ in 2024. 'My prettiness didn't get me this far,' he added, acknowledging that his newfound heart-throb status had opened up opportunities.Jim CarreyJim Carrey pictured in the '90s. Pictured right, Jim at the César Awards in Paris in February 2026Jim Carrey sparked intense online debate when he appeared at the César Awards in Paris in February 2026 looking noticeably different. A leading US plastic surgeon suggested the Mask star, 64, may have undergone a 'considerable amount' of cosmetic surgery to achieve his striking new look. There is no evidence that Carrey has had surgery, and he has not commented publicly on the speculation. However, several aesthetic doctors have offered their professional opinions online, suggesting he may have opted for procedures designed to counteract natural skin laxity and age-related volume loss. The actor – famed for his elastic facial expressions and comic contortions – appeared to have a fuller, tighter complexion than in previous appearances. Some viewers even questioned whether his eye colour looked different under the lights.Dr Anthony Youn, a US-based plastic surgeon who posts to Instagram as @tonyyounmd, said he believes Carrey may have had a 'considerable amount' of work.In a video viewed tens of thousands of times, Dr Youn, who has more than five million YouTube subscribers, said: 'He appears to have had an endoscopic brow lift, as evidenced by his brows being higher than before and his hairline being back a little bit.'I also think he may have had some Botox injected into his forehead and an upper blepharoplasty. You can see how his eyelids are significantly more open than they used to be.'Dr Youn said the actor's tighter, rounder appearance could be the result of multiple lifting procedures combined with added volume. 'He also may have had a mid-face and a lower face lift, lifting both his cheeks and the lower face and jowl region,' he added. He further suggested fat grafting – a procedure in which fat is harvested from one part of the body and transferred to another – could explain the plumper cheeks.Advocates say it can produce softer, more natural-looking results. However, transferred fat behaves like fat in its original location – meaning even modest weight gain can cause it to expand, sometimes altering results over time.Dr Youn also pointed to what he described as a notable change to Carrey's nose, which appears more defined and bulbous at the tip in recent footage.'His nose also looks quite a bit longer and refined,' he said. 'This could be a sign of a rhinoplasty.'Rylan ClarkRylan Clark pictured on the X Factor in 2012. Pictured right, Rylan presenting This Morning in AprilRylan Clark has been incredibly open in the past about having cosmetic procedures, previously admitting he spent £25,000 on veneers in 2013.He has also had lip filler, Botox and underwent another procedure for his teeth so they would look more natural. In a previous interview, Rylan acknowledged he had gone a bit overboard with his tweakments but said he never had any regrets as it was all a learning curve. In March, the presenter, 38, admitted during his Radio 2 show to having a 'traumatic and invasive' facial procedure.A source revealed to the Daily Mail that Rylan had fillers injected into his face in hopes of achieving a more 'chiselled' appearance. The star has previously admitted to having fillers, alongside Botox and 'bits and bobs' of cosmetic surgery over the years.During his radio show co-star Sally Boazman, 76, who does the traffic reports, asked Rylan: 'You're looking very good these days. Have you gone under the knife recently?' He replied: 'Weirdly, I had something done yesterday, which was, ugh, such a trauma, I'm not gonna lie, what I had done.' Sally then pushed Rylan to reveal what it was that he had done. But Rylan told her: 'I won't go into it over the radio, because it was just quite invasive on the face! Yeah, it was very invasive.' Rylan added that he'd spoken to his mother Linda about cosmetic tweakments, quipping: 'I said to her yesterday all of this ain't going to do anything now, it's time to go in for the big one... but I ain't spending 30 grand on Linda's face, I'd rather pick her up by the head and shake her about and chop it off myself! 30 grand, she's not Kris Jenner!'As his friend Sally declared she had 'earned my wrinkles', Rylan agreed, saying, 'there's nothing wrong with wrinkles, I like my wrinkles', only for Sally to point out: 'You haven't got a single one! I'm looking at your face, not a single one.'After Sally complimented Rylan's skin and hair she told him 'it's amazing what money can buy', leading Rylan to declare 'honestly without that I'd look like a troll'.Simon CowellSimon Cowell previously revealed he had gone 'too far' with facial fillers, adding that certain photos had left his son Eric 'in hysterics' (seen left in 2002 and right in 2019)Simon Cowell has become a titan of the music industry known for ruthlessly judging others - but the former X Factor judge has often found himself under scrutiny by fans observing his ever-evolving face. The TV star, 67, has spoken candidly about his journey with cosmetic tweakments - admitting to a non-surgical facelift, Botox and filler. He has denied going under the knife for plastic surgery but has been candid about how his overuse of injections left him looking 'like something out of a horror film.' Cowell has since reverted back to a filler-free face.Addressing claims he had undergone a surgical procedure, the father-of-one told The Mirror back in 2023: 'I think it's hysterical. I mean it just makes me laugh - I haven't had a facelift or anything.'I have had a bit of Botox but kind of nothing drastic. So when I hear about this stuff honestly it does make me laugh.'In 2018, Cowell revealed he had splashed out on a 'non-surgical facelift.'He underwent a Silhouette Soft Lift, at an estimated cost of $2,700 (£2,000), which involves sewing bioplastic-infused thread into the face and neck and tugging it to get rid of sagging skin. The music mogul is said to have visited cosmetic surgeon Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh, known as the 'Picasso of dermatology.'The method (also known as a 'one stitch face lift') uses an absorbable thread with cones to lift the facial skin and encourage collagen production. The unwanted excess skin is pulled back by the underlying muscle. The threads are 'stitched' on to the neck, brow or mid-face and promise to create a fresher, more youthful appearance. Cowell told The Sun on Sunday: 'There's lots of things you can do now, you don't just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox. It hurts like hell but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the c**p. 'For me now, it's all about having clean skin, if you have clean skin, you look better. But you have to be very careful with some of this stuff.'Previously, the former music label manager also admitted that he once got so much Botox injected into his face that he looked 'like something out of a horror film.'Cowell, who shares son Eric with partner Lauren Cowell, 49, revealed that as a result he no longer has any filler in his face.He added: 'There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from "before" the other day and didn't recognize it as me first of all. Eric [Simon's son] was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.'Instead, Cowell now attributes his youthful visage to changing his diet. He said: 'There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other. But actually, for me now, a lot of it comes down to healthy eating and drinking tons of water.' He has also been showing off his much slimmer figure after dropping three stone and wearing a surgical back brace to aid his recovery after nearly being paralyzed in a bike accident in 2020.The businessman broke his back in the fall from an electric bike he was testing at his home in Malibu, California. He had six hours of surgery. There was another setback after he fell from his bike again a year later.Mickey RourkeBoxer-turned-Hollywood-star Mickey Rourke's appearance has changed dramatically over the decades (pictured left in 1980 and right in 2016)Boxer-turned-Hollywood-star Mickey Rourke's appearance has changed dramatically over the decades, after years of partaking in a sport that repeatedly damaged his face.He eventually needed reconstructive surgery, which he has admitted didn't turn out so well.Speaking to the Daily Mail in 2009, the New-York born athlete said: 'Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together.'I had my nose broken twice. I had five operations on my nose and one on a smashed cheekbone.'He added: 'I had to have cartilage taken from my ear to rebuild my nose and a couple of operations to scrape out the cartilage because the scar tissue wasn't healing properly.' That same year, his first wife Debra Feuer claimed that Rourke's bouts of procedures were largely because he was 'so insecure.''He got worse when he met his second wife, Carre Otis,' the former actress — who was married to him from 1981 to 1989 — told the Mirror.'That's when the plastic surgery started. He'll kill me for saying this, but he wanted the part in one film so badly that he got cheek implants.'He told me he was swollen because he'd had his molar teeth removed. But I knew that was untrue — he didn't have any molars to take out.'Rourke's Hollywood career exploded in the early 80s and he featured in numerous films, including Diner (1982), Rumble Fish (1983), and 9 1/2 Weeks (1986), in which he starred opposite Kim Basinger. In the early 90s, he temporarily left acting and pursued a professional boxing career instead. And it was his boxing career that resulted in a notable physical change and he was forced to undergo reconstructive surgery to mend his facial injuries.Upon resigning from the sport, Rourke returned to Hollywood where he scooped a Golden Globe and best actor Bafta for his role in The Wrestler in 2008.Rourke's Hollywood career has largely declined in recent years. In 2020, he made a brief appearance on The Masked Singer where he was booted from the competition for removing his gremlin mask because he claimed the costume was too hot.Last year, Rourke was removed from the Celebrity Big Brother UK house on Day 6 for inappropriate language and unacceptable behavior. His exit came just days after he had already been warned for using homophobic language in conversation with JoJo Siwa.Rourke has notoriously battled addiction — both drugs and alcohol — in the past and has taken blame for his own career decline over the years. He told GQ in an interview: 'Screwing up my career was never about drugs or about booze. It was always my attitude. I stupidly said acting wasn't a job for a real man.'I raged at directors, threatened producers, even forgot my agent's name. I knew it was damaging my career - hanging out with bad people - but stupidly, I thought it would make me less of a hard man if I changed.'Bobby Cole NorrisBobby Norris is the last TOWIE star to unveil his dramatic new look after undergoing a facelift at the age of 39 (right, in 2015) In August, Bobby Norris joked he's becoming the male Katie Price as he revealed he has had surgery nine times. The TOWIE star, 39, appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk about how his latest round of procedures featured in Olivia Attwood's Price Of Perfection. Bobby said he decided to undergo a face and neck lift and eye-bag removal earlier this year after a 'decade of abusing fillers' – and spent over £50,000 on them. He told hosts Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley: 'I'm really transparent about the things I've done. 'I think in this industry, rather than saying things are down to moisturisers and products, I'd rather document it and show people. I think a lot of people think surgery is cheating but there is a recovery to it. It's not a quick easy thing. I think it's important to be really honest.'It's going to be strange to watch because they filmed me having it done in theatre. I don't know how I'm going to feel watching myself completely knocked out. I think I've had about eight or nine operations.'Richard then asked if he was turning into Katie Price. The former glamour model, 48, has had around 40 procedures over the years including 17 boob jobs and six facelifts. Bobby replied: 'A lot of people compare me to Kate. She's like me though, we're very open about it and honest, because we do document it. I don't see a shame in it. 'When you have a platform and a profile, I think it's important to be honest and show the reality. I'm not embarrassed or ashamed of it.'In terms of the last surgery, I had my face done and then my neck done whilst I was there because you're not going to put old wheels on a new car.'I had my eyes done because I'd had the upper blepharoplasty which were my top eyelids the year or two years before. Then I did the lower. Whilst you're under why not get it all done, I think.'Bobby said he had stretched his skin so much after a decade of abusing fillers. He added he 'doesn't know' why he has the surgery and can't diagnose himself as having body dysmorphia – a mental health condition where a person spends a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance.Bobby said: 'I get offered a lot of surgery and treatments, everything I had done was for a reason.' Bobby had a nose job early in his career and an upper eyelid lift two years before his facelift. When asked by Richard if part of it was being scared of ageing, Bobby admitted he was as he counts down to his 40th birthday.
