Israel launches air strikes, demolitions across southern Lebanon

Israel has carried out a series of air strikes and explosions in several areas of southern Lebanon on Wednesday, according to the country's National News Agency (NNA). NNA reported that Israeli forces carried out a large-scale demolition using explosives in the southern Lebanese town of Kfar Tebnit, and a powerful explosion in the Ain al-Samahiyah area, on the outskirts of Zawtar ash-Sharqiyah, causing loud blasts and tremors across southern Lebanon. Israeli warplanes also launched an air strike targeting the town of Haddatha and Wadi al-Salouqi near Chaqra, according to the agency. Meanwhile, Al Jazeera correspondents saw Israeli drones flying over the city of Tyre and surrounding villages, as well as the capital Beirut. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has called for continuing negotiations to end Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon, NNA reported.
