Ishqa Ishqa trailer: Helly Shah's Arohi will remind you of Obsession's Nikki

Actor Helly Shah's Arohi in Ishqa Ishqa may remind you of Nikki from Obsession. Like Nikki, Arohi's idea of love leaves little room for distance or letting go. When Kabir (Satyajeet Dubey) tries to move on with Suhani (Anushka Kaushik), Arohi returns, turning a childhood game of dares into a complicated battle for love and control.Ishqa Ishqa, an upcoming romantic thriller series, revolves around a childhood bond, a game of dares and a relationship that becomes increasingly complicated over time. The story follows Kabir, a writer, and his childhood companion Arohi, whose relationship has always been shaped by a tradition of dares. What begins as a game between two people who share a close bond eventually starts affecting their relationship in unexpected ways.As they grow older, Kabir begins to feel suffocated by the intensity of their equation. He eventually challenges Arohi to stay away from him for a year. Arohi accepts the dare, and the two spend a year apart.During this period, Kabir meets Suhani (Anushka Kaushik), a photographer who brings a sense of stability to his life. Their relationship is different from what he has experienced with Arohi, giving Kabir the possibility of a quieter and more settled future. However, Arohi returns after completing the one-year dare. While Kabir sees their time apart as a separation, Arohi treats it as simply another challenge they have completed. Her return brings the unresolved conflict between them back to the surface. The trailer shows Arohi trying to reclaim her place in Kabir's life, while Kabir struggles to move on with Suhani. As the three find themselves caught in the situation, the series explores the difference between love and control. Arohi's understanding of love is also central to the story. She wants Kabir completely and finds it difficult to accept the idea of him choosing a life without her. Kabir, meanwhile, is caught between his history with Arohi and the sense of trust and stability he finds with Suhani.Directed by Amit Kumar Jha and written by Rajesh Bachchani, Ishqa Ishqa is produced by Moving Images Studios Pvt. Ltd.Talking about her character, Helly Shah said in a statement, “Arohi loves Kabir with absolute intensity, but for her, love and possession are almost the same thing. She doesn’t believe in halfway emotions. What drew me to her was that she is not simply obsessive. She is intelligent, strategic and deeply emotional, which makes her unpredictable. There is vulnerability in her, but there is also a side of her that can be incredibly dangerous. Playing someone who can move between those two sides was challenging and exciting for me.”Satyajeet Dubey described Kabir as someone who finds himself struggling to escape a complicated situation. “Kabir is a sensitive person who finds himself caught in a situation that becomes increasingly difficult to escape. While Suhani brings a sense of peace and emotional clarity into his life, Arohi’s intense presence continues to make it difficult for him to truly move forward,” he said.Anushka Kaushik, who plays Suhani, said her character believes that a relationship should have trust and space. “Suhani is grounded, emotionally aware and has a clear understanding of what she wants from a relationship. She believes that love should come with trust and space, and that really shaped the way I approached her,” she said.Ishqa Ishqa is set to start streaming on Prime Video from October 7, 2026. It will also be available on the MX Player Android app.- Ends
