Iran’s UN mission dismisses US expulsion claim as ‘baseless and worthless' news

Iran’s mission to the UN said its delegation left New York on Monday as per schedule. This came after reports that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio ordered the Iranian delegation leave the country immediately after negotiations broke down. "The Iranian delegation left New York on Monday evening, in accordance with the schedule that had also been communicated to the U.S. Department of State in advance on September 17," Iran’s UN mission wrote in a post on X. It also dismissed the reports of its delegation's expulsion from the US, saying: "Having achieved nothing, the State Department has resorted to propagating baseless and worthless news."
