Netanyahu speaks out after 'excellent' meeting with Trump on IranThe US military has announced that it intercepted Iran’s latest “surprise attack” following US President Donald Trump’s meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Tuesday. “At 5:45 p.m. ET today, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces launched multiple ballistic missiles from Iran in an attempted surprise attack on U.S. forces based in the Middle East. All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted”, US Central Command wrote on X. CENTCOM later said the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces aided the US military in a separate military effort Tuesday after “Iran-aligned” terrorists launched more than 30 drone attacks in the last 72 hours. The US military accused Iran’s paramilitary of directing terrorists to attack American forces and Saudi energy infrastructure. “U.S. and Saudi fighter aircraft struck multiple terrorist logistics and weapons sites across eastern Iraq in a strong response” to the Iran-directed attacks, CENTCOM said. Earlier, Netanyahu went to the White House for a closed-door talk with Trump during the prime minister’s first visit since the US and Israel launched a joint war against Iran. Netanyahu said his meeting with Trump was “one of the best” they’ve had and the White House called it “positive and productive”.
