Iran rejects UAE claim it launched two missiles toward the Gulf nation

Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei rejected the claim, warning regional states against making “unfounded accusations” and warning they should be vigilant against “false-flag operations,” according to Press TV. Air defense forces in the UAE detected two ballistic missiles launched toward the country from Iran on Tuesday, the UAE Defense Ministry said, adding that only one fell inside its territorial waters. The statement did not mention casualties, damage or interception efforts. Separately, Iraq’s Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Monday accused Iran of launching drone attacks targeting his office and the residence of the head of the Kurdish intelligence agency Parastin. Tehran similarly denied the allegation and suggested the incident may have been a “false flag” operation. Back to top button
