Iran must pay compensation for those killed in conflict with US, Israel: Trump

(File Photo- ITG)US President Donald Trump has demanded compensation from Iran for people killed or seriously wounded in conflicts involving Tehran, saying the issue will be included in any future negotiations between the two countries.Trump's demand came in response to what he described as a request by representatives of the Islamic Republic for compensation over damage caused to Iran during the five-month military conflict.In a post, Trump said Iran's request was an "interesting idea" and announced that he was making a similar demand from Tehran.Trump said Iran should pay compensation for people killed and seriously wounded through what he described as roadside bomb attacks and other conflicts involving the country. "I am likewise demanding compensation from Iran, for all of the people that they have killed and gravely wounded with their roadside bombs and many conflicts, for which they are famous," Trump said.He also referred to conflicts in which Iranian military commander General Qassem Soleimani was involved.
