This year’s event is expected to be a big one, with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max joined by Apple’s first book-style foldable iPhone, new Apple Watch models and updated AirPods.And if the leaks are anything to go by, the iPhone 18 Pro could be more than just another yearly upgrade. This year, the Pro models are expected to bring some interesting changes, from new colours and a faster chip to bigger batteries and camera upgrades. Here’s everything we know so far.New colours could give the iPhone 18 Pro a fresh lookApple is reportedly planning some new colour options for the iPhone 18 Pro series. Leaks point to shades such as dark cherry, light blue and silver, with the familiar black finish possibly being dropped.Design-wise, however, Apple may not be changing too much. Leaked images suggest the iPhone 18 Pro could retain the flat-edged frame and familiar triple-camera setup. The bigger visual change could come from the front, where Apple is reportedly working to make the Dynamic Island smaller. A20 Pro chip could be the big upgradeUnder the hood, the iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to get Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chip. The processor is rumoured to be built using TSMC’s 2nm process, which could bring a useful combination of higher performance and better power efficiency.There are also reports claiming that the A20 Pro could be around 18 per cent faster than the A19 Pro while using up to 30 per cent less power. The phones are also expected to retain 12GB of RAM and could use Apple’s new C2 modem.Bigger battery, especially on the Pro Max Battery life could get a serious boost this year. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is rumoured to pack a 5,425mAh battery in the eSIM-only version, while the physical-SIM model could get a 5,235mAh cell.That would be a noticeable increase over the reported battery capacities of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, although the exact figures remain unconfirmed.Cameras could get a major upgradeThe iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to retain three 48-megapixel rear cameras, but Apple could make some important changes underneath. One of the biggest rumours is variable aperture technology, which could give users more control over how much light reaches the camera sensor.There is also talk of a new camera sensor, while the Pro Max could get some camera features that are not available on the smaller Pro model.Expected iPhone 18 Pro price in IndiaWhile the upgrades look promising, you might have to prepare your wallet for them. Apple could raise the price of the iPhone 18 Pro series as component costs rise. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has reported that Apple is considering a price increase, potentially taking the US starting price of the iPhone 18 Pro to around $1,199.In India, that could mean a price increase of around Rs 10,000, although some reports have suggested the hike could be as much as Rs 20,000, depending on the model and storage option.Do note that these are still rumours and speculation, and Apple has not confirmed any of these details yet.
