iPadOS 27.3 Expands Siri Mode to Camera App

iOS 27 added a Siri tab to the Camera app on the iPhone 15 Pro and newer for convenient access to Visual Intelligence. Starting with iPadOS 27.3, which is in beta starting today, that feature has expanded to iPad Pro and iPad Air models with the M1 chip and newer, as well as the iPad mini models with the A17 Pro and A20 Pro chips. When you switch to Siri mode in the Camera app on supported iPhone or iPad models, you can get information about things around you. On the iPad, the feature works with the Apple Pencil, meaning you can take a photo and then circle an object with the Apple Pencil and use Visual Intelligence to receive information about the object. Visual Intelligence was already available on the iPad, so the addition of a Siri tab in the Camera app mainly provides a new way of accessing it. iPadOS 27.3 is expected to be released in December.
