iOS 27.2 launched last week with a convenient new Messages feature called ‘Suggested Actions.’ Here’s how you can customize the feature to your liking. iOS 27.2 lets you fully customize new Messages ‘Suggested Actions’ feature If your iPhone is running iOS 27.2, you might have noticed a handy addition in the Messages app. Whenever a message contains actionable information—an event you might want to add to your calendar, or todo you need reminding of—Messages will add a ‘Suggested Action’ right below the relevant message. Using these new suggestions, with a quick tap you can turn the message into an action. And they’re so small and unobtrusive in the UI that they don’t clutter up the app at all. But depending on your needs, you might want to enable or disable some of these suggestions. And Apple lets you do that with a surprising level of granularity. Inside Settings ⇾ Apps ⇾ Messages -> Suggested Actions you’ll find customization options for the feature. There are five different types of suggestions that can be enabled or disabled in Settings. By default, all five are enabled. Here are the five categories: Add to Calendar Add to Reminders Add to Notes Show in Maps Flights and Packages I’m planning to leave all five enabled, because I’ve found the feature a useful addition. But it’s great to see Apple offer a refreshing level of control like this right off the bat. Note: Suggested Actions are powered by Apple Intelligence, so you’ll need an AI-compatible iPhone to get the feature. What do you think of Messages’ new feature in iOS 27.2?
