iOS 27.2 launched this week with many new features, including an upgrade for the Apple TV app that’s especially perfect for iPhone Duo: Multiview. Multiview lets you watch four sports livestreams at once in Apple TV app, ideal for unfolded iPhone Duo Apple TV’s growing lineup of sports content includes Formula 1, Major League Soccer (MLS), and Major League Baseball (MLB). And a new video feature in iOS 27.2—Multiview—makes me hope the streamer adds even more sports soon. Multiview lets iPhone users watch up to four live sports streams simultaneously. It’s available for all sports events included in an Apple TV subscription. Previously, Multiview was only available on Apple TV, iPad, and Vision Pro. Activating Multiview is easy. Once you start watching a sports event you’ll see a new ‘Multiview’ button at the bottom of the Apple TV player. Each sport’s implementation will differ a bit, but with F1 you can choose from a preset team Multiview or build your own custom setup that includes driver-view cameras, course maps, and more. I gave it a try on my iPhone 18 Pro, where I assumed the smaller display would be a limiting factor on the number of streams. Fortunately that wasn’t the case, as I was able to set up four F1 streams from the Austin Grand Prix and could see all four on-screen at once. Where I imagine this will prove especially nice is on iPhone Duo. Though it’s great that smaller iPhones support Multiview, the ability to stream four video feeds at once on the Duo’s large display sounds fantastic.
