Intel QATlib 26.08 Released With Gen6 Device Support, 2MB Hugepages

Intel today released an updated version of their QuickAssist Technology library (QATlib) as the user-space component for making use of QuickAssist accelerators under Linux. Most notable with QATlib 26.08 is the library being ready for supporting next-gen QAT Gen6 6XXX accelerators. Since last year Intel already prepared QAT Gen6 support in their Linux kernel driver along with enabling new features like wireless mode support and Zstd support and Key Protection Technology (KPT). Now the QATlib user-space support is aligned with its Gen6 support. The Gen6 QATlib supports includes the dictionary, Zstandard, and KPT features along with sample QAT code targeting these upcoming wares. Presumably QAT Gen6 will be found with next-gen Xeon 7 Diamond Rapids processors. Another new feature of QATlib 26.08 is adding support for the QAT_MAX_2M_HPG_PER_PROCESS environment variable for enabling 2MB hugepages support. There is also EPOLL coalesce timer support, an sla_mgr script for device management around rate-limiting functionality, and other updates.
