AN ENORMOUS new Next has been attracting a host of excited shoppers after it was opened to the public last week. Now the world’s biggest Next store, the 132,000 sq ft store spans over multiple floors after taking over a former House of Fraser. It takes over a former House of Fraser unit, which closed at the end of 2024 after 25 years of trading in the centre. Inside, shoppers can find an array of exclusive Next brands and various outlets throughout the two-storey floor. Inside, there is a dedicated 20,000 sq ft Next Home section Credit: Next Bath & Body Works is also taking over a 2,000 sq ft neighbouring unit Credit: Next It features all the core Next departments, including larger womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and footwear sections, as well as a specific brands section. This includes a upgraded Next Home department, spanning over 20,000 sq ft inside the “anchor” store. Bluewater’s Next becomes the first store to launch fashion label Seraphine, a maternity and nursing clothes range that has grown an online presence. Bath & Body Works also has a dedicated space, taking over a 2,000 sq ft neighbouring unit with all the best hygiene and wellness products. Next currently operates more than 400 stores across the UK, where it sells a number of premium brands it has acquired in recent years. This includes beloved footwear retailer, Russell & Bromley, as well as Cath Kidston, FatFace and Victoria’s Secret.
