POSING on a yacht in a white swimsuit, it looked like Kelly Osbourne had finally turned a corner after a torrid year. She had faced devastating grief over the death of her rock-icon dad Ozzy, been trolled about the appearance of her body and split from rocker fiancé Sid Wilson — the man who was supposed to be the love of her life. Addressing DJ Sid in an Instagram story during the early hours of yesterday morning, Kelly begged him: “Leave me alone, let me heal.” She has claimed he still has many of her possessions, as well as her pet dogs, and has demanded child support for their son, Sidney, who lives with her. Their row went public just days after it was reported that 49-year-old Sid had been booted out of heavy metal band Slipknot after 28 years. Reports in the US have claimed it was a long time coming, but that he was finally sacked on Friday after his bandmates became sick of his behaviour towards them. And it sounds like Kelly, 41, feels the same. In a cryptic post which seemingly references her ex’s recent woes, she wrote on Instagram: “Strange how the loudest defence of the guilty is rarely innocence . . . It’s distraction. “When the mask slips, they don’t face the mirror they throw it at someone else. “I also heard that when you break a mirror you get 7 years bad luck! Or is that just karma? This is why I always take accountability! As they say, some are sicker than others.” But in shocking follow-up posts, she made it crystal clear exactly what she was talking about. Kelly wrote: “Wake the f**k up take some responsibility I will not take your s**t anymore! I’m done. “I want to be happy and I have a beautiful son to raise. Leave me alone. Let me heal. I can’t protect you from yourself anymore.” And in a final twist as she reached the end of her tether, she added: “Also while I’m at it can I have my dogs back and all my possessions. Oh yeah and maybe some child support?” Sid has not responded to Kelly’s claims, nor reports of his exit from Slipknot. The couple first met at her dad’s festival Ozzfest in 1999 when she was 14 and he was 22. They struck up a friendship which eventually blossomed into a romance in 2022, and Kelly gave birth to their son in November that year. Ozzy jokingly shouted: “F*** off — you’re not marrying my daughter.” But it turned out he was right. Despite Sid claiming that he loved Kelly “more than anything in the world”, they split seven months later. By that time, they were living increasingly separate lives after Kelly’s world was rocked by her dad’s death barely more than a fortnight after the proposal. Heartbreaking photos from Ozzy’s funeral last summer showed his devastated widow Sharon being held up by her son Jack and Kelly. Tens of thousands of people lined the streets in his home city of Birmingham to pay their respects during the funeral procession. And although the family put on a show of unity, losing her dad, Kelly said, has changed her life for ever. Last month, on the first anniversary of his death, she shared an emotional statement detailing how his death from a heart attack aged 76 had affected her. Kelly explained: “I don’t just mourn the father I lost. I mourn the soul I was before death taught my heart its own name “There is a grief that steals more than the person you love. It quietly takes the light from your laughter, the innocence from your hope and the stranger you become is someone you’ll spend a lifetime trying to recognise. “People think grief is missing someone who is gone, but the deepest sorrow is waking each day longing for the version of yourself who died with them. “Grief is a language no one truly speaks until life forces it upon them.” In the weeks that followed Ozzy’s death, Kelly relocated to Buckinghamshire with her son to be close to grieving mum Sharon, while Sid remained on his farm in Iowa where they had previously lived together. He flew to England in December so they could spend Christmas together, and she then travelled to LA the following month. But they struggled to see each other and now face a battle over their son, who she has enrolled in school in the UK. In April, it was reported that Kelly had found a new romance with a non-binary hairdresser who goes by the name Kiinicki Credit: Instagram Kelly rose to fame as a teenager in her family’s hugely popular MTV reality series The Osbournes Credit: Getty A source explained: “Kelly’s number one priority is her son and she is fiercely protective of him. He is her world. Her relationship with Sid came to an end for a number of reasons and things have only got more difficult between them. “Kelly won’t be apart from her son even for one night, so sending him to the US to see his dad isn’t an option for her. But he is Sid’s son and as a dad he misses him. It’s a really sad state of affairs for the whole family. “Kelly knows what is best for her own child and living a calm life in England near to her mum is key.” Alongside Kelly’s messages about Sid, she shared a quote which read: “My son’s little heart once beat right beside mine. So trust me when I say . . . I will protect it at all costs.” A second read: “My job is to protect my kids. Not your feelings. Not your expectations. Not judgements I didn’t ask for. “My responsibility is to protect their wellbeing. Their nervous systems. Their emotional safety. “I will choose them every single time. Over anyone. Over anything.” Kelly rose to fame as a teenager in her family’s hugely popular MTV reality series The Osbournes, becoming known for her tantrums in their chaotic household during its four-year run. She became a staple on the showbiz scene and released two albums, 2002’s Shut Up and 2005’s Sleeping In The Nothing, scoring a No1 with a cover of Black Sabbath’s 1972 track Changes with her dad. Kelly went on to become a TV host, last year presenting the US series Lego Masters Jr. But in recent months she has largely retreated from her career as she has struggled with grief and scrutiny over her health. In February, she attended the Brit Awards to collect her father’s posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award, triggering a deluge of comments on her slimmer appearance. Days later, she admitted she was going through the “hardest time” of her life and was devastated by the trolls who mocked her. She wrote on social media: “There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something. “Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love the most. “None of it proves strength; it only reveals a profound absence of compassion and character. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanised in such a way.” In April, it was reported that Kelly had found a new romance with a non-binary hairdresser who goes by the name Kiinicki. Claims surfaced that the pair were spotted “all over each other” at a party. That is also now believed to be over, because they have unfollowed each other on Instagram and Kiinicki has returned to Los Angeles. Those who know the family insist that Kelly has a tight group of friends who have rallied round this year to support her as she tries to make a fresh start in Buckinghamshire. A source added: “Kelly keeps a few friends very close and they have been there for her through thick and thin. “They have been a lifeline and have been encouraging her to take the time she needs, but also to explore what the next chapter of her life looks like. “It’s felt like her life has been on pause for the past year with everything that has happened and now she wants to be able to start afresh. “She has started a new life in England — and now she is excited for what is to come for her and her son.”
