RACHEL Scott made the most of her summer vacation before starting her big new job. Rachel and Elliott, who married in September 2025 in Santa Barbara, are accustomed to luxury travel. For their honeymoon last year, the jet-setting couple traveled to Maasai Mara, Kenya for a safari. Rachel has been a political correspondent in Washington, DC for ABC News, but was just promoted to main anchor for GMA on Saturdays. On Sundays, Gio Benitez will co-host with Rhiannon Ally. Meteorologist Leslie Lopez will cover weather on both days. The shakeup comes after beloved weekend host Janai Norman was dropped by GMA in April. “I’d hoped that we’d have more time. It’s been hard on me that our time was cut short. I have loved my job,” Janai said soon after the sad news broke. “It has been a joy to connect with my coworkers and with viewers to help keep you informed and entertained and to create this community. “So, it really breaks my heart that I don’t get to say goodbye. I’m so sorry that I don’t get to say goodbye. It would have been fun.” Comment now
