The influencer posted the stomach-churning video on Instagram and wrote: “Joey Danger climbed El Capitan on his seventh birthday. “Here he is with his 9-year-old brother, Sylvan Lightyear, who completed his second ascent of El Capitan. “This was their version of a victory dance at our final camp, nearly a mile above the Yosemite Valley floor. “These boys are being forged by granite. To be clear, this was not a free ascent. So far, three of our four boys have safely completed this mission. Most read in Showbiz “There are years of training and preparation before they ever touch the wall. “Then come six days of fear, exhaustion, patience, responsibility and learning to keep moving when quitting would be easier. “Joey cried about once a day, but he never once asked to go down. He had an absolute blast up there. And since coming home, we’ve watched him stand a little straighter. “That’s the part I care about most. The mountain is the classroom. Formation is the destination.” One Instagram follower branded Joe ‘the most irresponsible parent of all time’, while vexed users on Reddit penned: “I feel like there are great ways to do a right of passage and build character through a challenging journey without it being potentially life-threatening and terrifying?” “These aren’t even my kids and my stomach dropped out of my butt when I saw this,” admitted a second. “I have no children and nearly no motherly instincts at all and INSTANTLY became sick to my stomach seeing this. I don’t know how someone could willingly do this to their kids,” accused a third. “That is literally insane. What is wrong with him??” asked a fourth.“I would contact the Yosemite Park rangers about this. There’s no way this is legal. Abhorrent behaviour,” wrote a fifth angry person. “Exploitation of children for views is sick,” berated another fuming follower. “This guy parades his kids on the side of El Capitan. Yes they’re attached to rope but kids can’t meaningfully consent to this type of content,” argued another.
