Above the video, Sara writes: “Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon to be ex husband who I just found out is a pedophile.” Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! A caption below reads: “I wish I was joking. #plottwist #netflix #documentary.” The clip starts with an empty chair, before a visibly-nervous Sara enters and sits down, hands clasped and knees trembling. More than five million people have since viewed the video, which was posted on July 11. Less than two weeks later, Sara and Duffey, 48, were found dead with gunshot wounds in her home in Owasso, Oklahoma. First responders were called by a child who lived at the home and arrived around 11.15pm on July 23. Sara was shot by Duffy, who then turned the gun on himself, according to police. Most read in The Sun A family member identified them as the victims. Sara had filed an emergency protective order against Duffy on June 10, according to court documents seen by PEOPLE. He was immediately ordered to leave their home and stay at least 100 miles away from her. It was later extended to run through to August 24. Sara alleged in her application that Duffey had a gun, threatened suicide, and “went on the run”, according to The Oklahoman. That same day, another woman applied for a separate protective order against Duffy on behalf of her 15-year-old daughter. The teenager played on a youth basketball team that Duffey coached. Her mum alleged that the 48-year-old was caught kissing and touching the girl by another coach. The girl told her mum that he invited her to his hotel room during a tournament trip, sent her private messages and offered her money to “keep quiet”. In 2021, Sara had two protective order applications against Duffey dismissed when she failed to show up in court, per court records.
