Influencer banned from Vietnam for life after ‘dangerous and sexually provocative’ acts on motorbike

A RUSSIAN influencer has been banned from Vietnam for life after posing semi-naked on a motorbike in public. Yulia Nikitina, 35, was accused of “dangerous and sexually provocative” acts on highways around Nha Trang, a popular resort. She was allegedly seen on social media lying flat on a moving motorbike, lifting her legs into the air in a so-called “scorpion” pose exposing her underwear while riding in traffic. Vietnamese media and commenters highlighted the “sexualised nature” of her stunts, noting that the rider was wearing a short skirt and exposing her underwear while performing manoeuvres in traffic. Racy photos show the model kneeling on the moving bike, rubbing her body over the petrol tank, bending forward and repeatedly raising, stretching and folding her legs. Instead they deported Nikitina, who was a resident of Vietnam, and banned her for life. She told the court that the country was her “second home”, having become a popular destination for Russians during the war in Ukraine. They fined her £860 and seized her motorcycle and iPhone 16. The People’s Court of Region 2 in Khánh Hòa found that between January and June 2025, Nikitina committed offences on three separate occasions. The stunts were filmed on public roads in the Cam Lâm and Nam Cam Ranh communes. In Vietnam, such behaviour is seen as disrespectful to local culture and an insult to public decency, particularly when carried out by a foreign visitor. Local police in the Communist state urged all residents and visitors to “strictly comply with road traffic safety laws”, warning that dangerous or offensive acts would be punished to ensure a “safe and civilised traffic environment”. It comes as several influencers have been kicked out of asian countries for similar acts. In 2021, Luiza Kosykh, 40, was deported from Bali posing naked on a 700-year-old sacred tree in Tabanan, Bali. The images went viral on social media after local businesswoman Ni Luh Putu Ary Pertami Djelantik, shared the photos online. She captioned them: “To all foreigners who disrespect our land, Bali is our home, not yours!” Kosykh was reportedly the 59th Russian national to be deported from Bali in 2022. Russian yoga practitioner Alina Fazleeva also faced backlash for posing naked by the same tree in 2022. The 28-year-old and her husband performed rituals at Babakan Temple in an attempt to apologise to the spirits for their actions. Nevertheless, the couple were still deported from Indonesia.
