Indonesians brave choking smoke to pray for rain as country battles wildfires

Indonesians are facing a severe environmental crisis as wildfires in central and western regions have devastated forests and peatlands, resulting in a thick haze that has enveloped some cities. Many residents are braving the choking smoke to gather for prayer, highlighting the desperation to halt the spread of these fires.
