Locals confronted Mr Singh when he arrived to fix the connectivity issues and complained about the installation of the private telecom tower which they had insisted worked poorly.Villagers were heard referencing the slow signal when tying Mr Singh to the tower. It was reported that by tying up Mr Singh, the villagers hoped it would highlight the issue to more senior staff in the mobile company who they felt had ignored their complaints.They allegedly threatened to not untie Mr Singh until officials from the network provider visited the village and fixed the issue, however he was soon released.
